Research activity

My main interests are ecology and conservation biology with a particular reference to the effects of human activity on biodiversity. My favourite model organisms are birds.

I am also interested in bird and dragonfly diversity and distribution in  Italy.

Current PhD project

Biodiversity conservation in permanent crops and grasslands.

My research project aim to investigate the ecological relationships between birds and agroecosystems in order to asses adequate conservation measures in this kind of habitats. I am focused on vineyards, meadows and orchards. I adopt a metodological approach based on extensive field work and ecological modelling.
