Teaching

Teaching assistant in courses of ecology (University of Torino), applied zoology (University of Pavia) and field biology (University of Eastern Piedmont).

Teacher at "CAI Monviso Alpinism and Ski Alpinism School" in lectures concerning alpine biodiversity.

Research

I am an environmental biologist and my favourite research fields are in ecology and conservation biology.

During my career, I had the opportunity to work on several animal groups (birds, mammals, butterflies, orthopterans, dragonflies, carabids and spiders) in alpine habitats and in various agroecosystems, improving my knowledge on their biology, ecology and their suitability as bio-indicators.

The development of good agricultural practices for biodiversity conservation in rice fields is the aim of my current research activities, using different animal taxa as indicators.
